We are fizzing with excitement to announce the release of our first-ever sparkling wines – a Classic Cuvée and Rosé – The launch of our special sparkling wines is perfectly timed with the festive season fast approaching, so we hope you’ll join us in raising a glass. Bring on the bubbles!
Good things come to those who wait
It takes time, patience and craft to produce fine English sparkling wine. Our Tanhurst Estate Vineyard sparkling wine are made using the traditional method, which is the same method used to make champagne. The intricate process involves a second fermentation in the bottle to create those characteristic bubbles. It’s this traditional method that gives sparkling wine the effervescent style and complex flavours mass-produced, tank-fermented sparkling wines cannot match.
INTRODUCING OUR DEBUT CLASSIC CUVEE, FELDAY 2022
This elegant white sparkling blend has a lovely pale golden hue inviting the senses to explore its complexity. The nose gives an alluring bouquet of brioche, toasted almonds and ripe stone fruit, while an oak influence adds depth and nuance. Refreshingly crisp with a luxurious creamy undertone, this wine will pair beautifully with seafood, roast dishes, and artisanal cheeses.
We named the wine Felday, after an area in the pretty woodland village of Holmbury St. Mary, known for its Iron Age hillfort and First World War prisoner-of-war camp.
Grapes: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier.
INTRODUCING OUR SPARKLING PINOT NOIR ROSÉ, FOLLES 2022
This lovely soft pink rosé sparkling wine boasts a rich nose of ripe cherry, white nectarine, and wild strawberry and a note of almond blossom, enhancing the aromatic experience. Crisp and refreshing, this is the perfect wine for those seeking a fruity and easy drinking wine. Its delicate and elegant style pairs superbly with salmon, grilled meats, roasted vegetables and seasonal salads.
We have called the wine Folles, the earliest recorded name for the charming, ancient hamlet of Forest Green nestled at the foot of two of Surrey’s best-known beauty spots, Holmbury Hill and Leith Hill.
